Here's a short thank you post for all the members who support Hilokal.
In an effort to be transparent, we host our daily work meetings at 9:30 am KST inside Hilokal. We get many curious Hilokal users drop-in who listen, give feedback and even give beans 🫘. Thanks!
With the beans you've given our team, we bought pizza and cake. Each month we celebrate our team members' birthday. This month we used bean money to buy pizza and cake for 민혁 & 용천's birthday. Next month, May, there are no staff birthdays, but we're still going to do a pizza party with the bean money you gave us 🥳.
We put everything we're earning, and much more, back into Hilokal so we can make the best online language learning app there is. It's hard work. The bug list is endless. The community moderation is endless. The feature requests are endless - day in and day out. We are a small team of 13 people... BUT, the fact that you attend our work meetings, listen and even donate beans?? That goes a long way. Thank you.
Thank you to all of you who don't have enough to purchase premium, but still make Hilokal better by sharing your language. Thank you to those of you who can afford premium and gift premium to others. Thank you who invite quality people into Hilokal. Thank you who report those who seem hell bent on making Hilokal a worse place 😬... And especially thank you who donated beans so we could have pizza and cake! 🍕🎂
