The Korean Alphabet
Today's Session
We will learn the basics of Korean alphabet and learn how to make words and pronounce them.
A Brief History Over Hangul
The Korean alphabet or Hangul was created by King Sejong the Great in 1443.
Before then, Koreans were not able to read and write since Korean was written in Chinese characters.
To make reading and writing easier King Sejong created Hangul.
Introduction to Hangul
Hangul is made up of vowels and consonents.
Consonents are from words that are meant to be the shape of the mouth or tongue when sounding the specific consonents.
Words are made up of vowels and consonents.
Some of the consonents are doubled.
