Twist Stories 🌧©
Johnnie had a job, jumping on a job,
Johnnie could jump on the job, but he couldn't jump on the job jb.
Johnnie was a bit of a joker, and he loved to entertain his friends with tongue twisters. He was especially fond of five famous ones:
1. She sells seashells by the seashore.
2. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
3. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
4. Red lorry, yellow lorry.
5. How can a clam cram in a clean cream can?
One day, Johnnie decided to challenge his friends to see who could say the five tongue twisters the fastest. He began with the first one: 'She sells seashells by the seashore.' Everyone tried their best, but one of Johnnie's friends, Sarah, managed to say it the fastest. Johnnie then went on to the second one: 'How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?' Again, Sarah was the fastest to finish.
Johnnie continued to challenge his friends with the remaining three tongue twisters, but Sarah managed to be the fastest each time. At the end of the challenge, everyone applauded Sarah for her quick wit and fast tongue. Johnnie was so impressed with Sarah's performance that he asked her to join him in teaching the tongue twisters to the younger children in their community. Sarah happily accepted the invitation, and she and Johnnie became fast friends.
From that day on, Johnnie and Sarah taught the five famous tongue twisters to the children in their community, and made sure that everyone got plenty of practice with them. They even held an annual tongue twister competition for the children, to see who could say the five tongue twisters the fastest.
Johnnie and Sarah's teaching and enthusiasm for tongue twisters helped spread joy and laughter throughout the community. Every time the children managed to say the tongue twisters correctly, the entire group would erupt in cheers of joy and laughter.
It was pouring rain outside, and young C was stuck inside. The sound of thunder and the rain drops drumming on the roof only made her feel more trapped and lonely. Suddenly, she heard a voice calling from outside:
'Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day!'
C ran to the window to see who it was and to her surprise, it was her neighbor, Mrs. F. She was standing in the rain, twirling around and reciting tongue twisters.
'She sells seashells by the seashore
The shells she sells are surely seashells!'
Mrs. F waved at C, and she waved back. Mrs. F then gestured for C to come outside and join her. Despite the rain, C felt a sudden surge of energy and ran outside.
Together, Mrs. F and C began twirling and reciting tongue twisters.
'How much wood would a woodchuck chuck
If a woodchuck could chuck wood?'
The rain didn't seem to bother them at all, and soon enough they were laughing and having a great time. C had never felt so alive and happy before.
The rain eventually stopped and C thanked Mrs. F for the wonderful experience. She knew she would never forget that special moment of having fun in the rain with Mrs. F and her tongue twisters.
Rose saw the rose red roses in the rose red roses' rose red rose garden.
Rita was riding her red bicycle on the road when suddenly she ran into a rock. Rita's red bicycle was now wrecked and Rita's tongue was tangled in a series of tongue twisters. She began to recite, 'Round and round the rugged rock, the ragged rascal ran.'
Rita smiled as she thought of the next one, 'Red lorry, yellow lorry, green lorry, red lorry.'
Then she started to laugh as she remembered the third one, 'Rubber baby buggy bumpers, rubber baby buggy bumpers.'
Rita then thought of the fourth one, 'Real rabbits wear real rubber shoes, real rabbits wear real rubber shoes.'
The fifth one was her favorite, 'Rugged and rough, the rosy red rope.'
Rita smiled as she finished her tongue twisters and continued on her way.
Sally swallowed seven silly seashells.
Sally was so silly she thought she'd be swell if she swallowed seven seashells.
But the seventh seashell stuck in her throat, so Sally started to froth and to foam.
She coughed and she spluttered and wheezed and she spat, for the seventh seashell was stuck in her throat.
But Sally was saved by the skill of a teacher, who yodelled 'You'll be alright, Sally!'
He pulled the seashell out with a flick of his wrist, and Sally was saved with a kiss.
The teacher said, 'Now, Sally, don't ever forget, when swallowing seashells your tongue mustn't be wet!'
So Sally took the teacher's advice and learned her lesson well, and ever since then she's been careful to tongue-twist her seashells!
