* 한국어능력시험 말하기 평가 척도점수는 현대 측정이론인 문항반응이론을 적용하여 개발된 점수로 0점부터 200점까지 범위를 갖습니다. 6급 (160 ~ 200점) - 사회적 화제나 추상적 화제에 대해 논리적이고 설득력 있게 말할 수 있다. - 오류가 거의 없으며 매우 다양한 어휘와 문법을 담화 상황에 맞게 사용할 수 있다. - 발음과 억양, 속도가 자연스러워 발화 전달력이 우수하다. 5급 (130 ~ 159점) - 사회적 화제나 일부 추상적 화제에 대해 비교적 논리적이고 일관되게 말할 수 있다. - 오류가 간혹 나타나나 다양한 어휘와 표현을 담화 상황에 맞게 사용할 수 있다. - 발음과 억양, 속도가 대체로 자연스러워 발화 전달력이 양호하다. 4급 (110 ~ 129점) - 일부 사회적 화제에 대해 대체로 구체적이고 조리 있게 말할 수 있다. - 오류가 때때로 나타나나 다양한 어휘와 표현을 대체로 담화 상황에 맞게 사용할 수 있다. - 발음과 억양, 속도가 비교적 자연스러워 의미 전달에 문제가 거의 없다. 3급 (90 ~ 109점) - 친숙한 사회적 화제에 대해 비교적 구체적으로 말할 수 있다. - 오류가 때때로 나타나나 어느 정도 다양한 어휘와 표현을 비교적 담화 상황에 맞게 사용할 수 있다. - 발음과 억양, 속도가 다소 부자연스러우나 의미 전달에 큰 문제가 없다. 2급 (50 ~ 89점) - 자주 접하는 사회적 상황에서 일상적 화제에 대해 묻거나 답할 수 있다. - 언어 사용이 제한적이며 담화 상황에 맞지 않는 경우가 있고 오류가 잦다. - 발음과 억양, 속도가 부자연스러워 의미 전달에 다소 문제가 있다. 1급 (20 ~ 49점) - 친숙한 일상적 화제에 대해 질문을 듣고 간단하게 답할 수 있다. - 언어 사용이 매우 제한적이며 오류가 빈번하다. - 발음과 억양, 속도가 매우 부자연스러워 의미 전달에 문제가 있다. ❌ 불합격 (0 ~ 19점) ❌

* TOPIK Speaking Test is scored based on a scoring system developed by applying the item response theory, a modern measurement theory. The score range is 0 to 200 points. Grade 6 (160 ~ 200 points) - The individual is able to speak logically and persuasively regarding social issues and abstract topics. - The individual rarely makes any mistakes and can freely vary his/her vocabulary and syntax (sentence structures) according to the context of the dialog. - The individual sounds natural in terms of pronunciation, intonation and speed and thus boasts excellent delivery. Grade 5 (130 ~ 159 points) - The individual is able to speak relatively logically and coherently regarding social issues and some abstract topics. - The individual occasionally makes mistakes but is capable of using various words and expressions according to the context of the dialog. - The individual, in most cases, sounds natural in terms of pronunciation, intonation and speed and thus boasts good delivery. Grade 4 (110 ~ 129 points) - The individual is able to speak in a concrete and organized way regarding some social issues. - The individual makes mistakes from time to time but is capable of using various words and expressions according to the context of the dialog in most cases. - The individual sounds relatively natural in terms of pronunciation, intonation and speed and thus has little trouble conveying what he/she wants to say. Grade 3 (90 ~ 109 points) - The individual is able to speak in a relatively concrete manner regarding familiar social issues. - The individual makes mistakes from time to time but is relatively capable of using somewhat various words and expressions according to the context of the dialog in most cases. - The individual sounds slightly unnatural in terms of pronunciation, intonation and/or speed but does not have a major problem conveying what he/she wants to say. Grade 2 (50 ~ 89 points) - The individual is able to ask and answer questions about everyday topics in frequently encountered situations. - The individual has limited command of the language, is unable to use words, etc. that are appropriate for the situation at times, and often makes mistakes. - The individual sounds unnatural in terms of pronunciation, intonation and/or speed and has somewhat of a problem conveying what he/she wants to say. Grade 1 (20 ~ 49 points) - The individual is able to provide simple answers to questions about family, everyday topics. - The individual has extremely limited command of the language and often makes mistakes. - The individual sounds very unnatural in terms of pronunciation, intonation and/or speed and has a problem conveying what he/she wants to say. ❌ Fail (0 ~ 19 points) ❌

Command of the language - Did he/she use appropriate language considering the context of the dialog? - Did he/she use rich and diverse vocabulary and expressions? - Did he/she use his/her vocabulary and expressions in an accurate way? 3. Pronunciation and delivery - Was his/her speech comprehensible (satisfactory pronunciation and intonation)? - Did he/she speak at a natural pace?
