In Korean, we have two types of numbers! 1. Pure Korean numbers 2. When telling time in Korean the two time markers are 시 (Hour/Time) 분 (Minutes) When telling the Hour - we use Pure Korean numbers (하나. 둘, 셋..) When telling the minutes - we use Sino-Korean numbers (일, 이, 삼..) But when using the Pure Korean numbers the first four changes their form - 하나 - 한 둘 - 두 셋 - 세 넷 - 네 The rest remains the same (다섯, 여섯...)

For hours 1 o'clock - 한 시 2 o'clock - 두 시 3 o'clock - 세 시 4 o'clock - 네 시 5 o'clock - 다섯 시 6 o'clock - 여삿 시 7 o'clock - 일곱 시 8 o'clock - 여덟 시 (pronounced as 여덜) 9 o'clock - 아홈 시 10 o'clock - 열 시 11 o'clock - 열한 시 12 o'clock - 열두 시

For minutes 1 min - 일분 2 min - 이분 3 min - 삼분 4 min - 사분 5 min - 오분 10 min - 십분 15 min - 십오분 20 min - 이십분 25 min - 이십오분 30 min - 삼십분 35 min - 삼십오분 40 min - 사십분 45 min -사십오분 50 min - 오십분 55 min - 오십오분

To indicate am and pm the terms used are - 오전 - am 오후 - pm 오 - has come from 정오 - which means 'noon' 전 means before and 후 means after so 오전 - becomes the time 'before noon' thus, 'am' and 오후 - becomes the time 'after noon' thus, 'pm' Other terms according to time of the day are - 새벽 - 12시 - 5시 (Dawn) (12 am - 4:59am) 오전 - 5시 - 9시 (Early morning) (5am - 8:59) 아침 - 9시 - 12시 (Morning/Daytime) (9am - 11:59am) 오후 - 12시 -6시 (Afternoon) (12 pm - 5:59 pm) 저녁 - 6시 - 9시 (Evening) (6pm - 8:59pm) 밤 - 9시 - 12시 (Night) (9pm - 11;59pm)

How to ask time in Korean? we say - 지금 몇시예요? And in reply, you can say - 지금 저녁 6시 반이에요 (just example)
