Time in Korean
In Korean, we have two types of numbers!
1. Pure Korean numbers
2. Sino-Korean numbers
Pure Korean numbers used mainly in 3 cases
- When telling time
- Telling your age
- Counting things
Sino-Korean numbers are mostly used in rest of the cases like
- Telling your weight
- Telling your Height
- Money
- Date, etc.
When telling time in Korean the two time markers are
시 (Hour/Time)
분 (Minutes)
When telling the Hour
- we use Pure Korean numbers (하나. 둘, 셋..)
When telling the minutes

8 o'clock - 여덟 시 (pronounced as 여덜)
