Summary of verses 15-22 of Surah An-Nisa: Verses 15 to 22 of Surah An-Nisa. These verses address the punishment for women and men who commit adultery or fornication. The initial punishment specified is confinement to their houses until a more permanent solution is revealed by Allah. For men guilty of these acts, the punishment is to be applied publicly unless they repent and reform. Forgiveness and mercy are available for those who repent and reform. Those who repent and do good deeds will be rewarded. Believers are advised to treat their wives with kindness and justice and Men are not allowed to inherit women's property unjustly or to treat them harshly. Further verses describe that Marriage is a sacred bond, and believers are encouraged to marry with mutual consent and kindness. Prohibition of marrying the wives of one's fathers, which was a practice in pre-Islamic times. Such marriages are declared indecent and evil. In summary, these verses emphasize justice, fair treatment, and the protection of women's rights, as well as the importance of genuine repentance and ethical behavior in personal relationships.
