Summary of Verses (12-19) of Chapter # 5 Surah Al Ma'idah:
Verses 12-19 of Surah Al-Maida address the Children of Israel and Christians, reminding them of their covenants with Allah and the consequences of breaking them. Allah highlights how the Children of Israel distorted scriptures and forgot parts of their covenant, leading to a hardened heart. Similarly, Christians forgot their covenant, resulting in internal enmity. A new clear guidance, the Quran, has come to the People of the Book, guiding them to peace and light and leading to the straight path. Declaring Christ as God is deemed blasphemy, and Allah's sovereignty and power are emphasized. Jews and Christians are reminded that, despite claiming to be Allah's children, they are like any other humans, subject to His will. The arrival of Prophet Muhammad provides clarity and guidance, eliminating any excuse of ignorance.
