LESSON # 15 of Chapter # 5. Summary of Verses (109-115) of Chapter # 5 Surah Al Ma'idah: In verses 109 to 115 of Surah Al-Ma'idah, several key themes and events are described as part of the larger context of the Day of Judgment: 1. The Day of Judgment: Allah will gather all the Messengers and ask them about the response they received from the people. The Messengers will acknowledge that they have limited knowledge and only Allah knows the complete truth about people's reactions and their responses to the divine message. 2. The Account of Jesus (Isa) Son of Mary: Allah will remind Jesus of the blessings and miracles He granted him, such as speaking from the cradle, performing miracles by Allah’s permission (e.g., creating a bird from clay, healing the blind and the leprous, raising the dead), and how some Israelites responded with disbelief, calling his miracles clear magic. 3. The Disciples’ Faith: Allah will also remind Jesus of the faith of his disciples, who believed in both Allah and His Messenger. This emphasizes that their faith was also a result of Allah’s guidance. 4. The Request for a Heavenly Feast: The disciples asked Jesus to pray for a heavenly feast to strengthen their faith and to confirm the truth of his message. Jesus responded by urging them to fear Allah and maintain their faith. 5. Jesus' Prayer for a Feast: Jesus prayed to Allah for a heavenly feast that would serve as a sign and a celebration. Allah agreed to send it down but warned that anyone who disbelieved after receiving it would face severe punishment. Overall, these verses underscore the distinction between the divine knowledge of Allah and the limited perspective of the Messengers. It also highlights the faith of Jesus and his disciples and the significance of the divine signs and the consequences of disbelief.
