Summary: In these verses, Allah addresses the importance of remembering and praising Him, especially during times of hardship and after achieving success. Believers are encouraged to maintain gratitude and remembrance of Allah in all aspects of life. Allah reminds the Children of Israel of the favors He bestowed upon them, such as delivering them from Pharaoh's oppression and parting the sea for their escape. Despite these blessings, some among them turned to idol worship and engaged in disobedience. The verses emphasize the significance of obeying Allah's commands and adhering to the covenant made with Him. Allah warns against breaking the covenant and urges the Children of Israel to avoid dividing into sects and disputes. The incident of the cow (red heifer) is mentioned as a test of faith for the Children of Israel. They are instructed to sacrifice the cow, but some among them questioned its color. Eventually, they complied with Allah's command, but this incident highlights their tendency to question and dispute. Allah encourages the Children of Israel to believe in what has been revealed to them and not be among the disbelievers. The importance of prayer and charity is also stressed. Overall, these verses emphasize the significance of gratitude, remembrance of Allah, obedience to His commands, faithfulness to covenants, and the consequences of disbelief and disobedience. They serve as lessons in maintaining a strong connection with Allah and avoiding disputes and disobedience.
