1. Obey Allah and His Messenger:
Believers must heed the commands of Allah and His Messenger and not turn away after hearing them.
2. Hearing and Heeding:
Simply hearing without obeying is not enough. Hypocrites claim to hear but fail to act on it.
3. Worst Beasts:
People who are spiritually deaf and dumb—unable to understand or speak the truth—are considered the worst in Allah's sight.
4. No Good in Them:
If Allah knew any good in them, He would have made them hear. However, even if they could hear, they would turn away in aversion.
5. Respond to Allah and His Messenger:
Believers should respond to the call of Allah and His Messenger, understanding that Allah knows the secrets of their hearts, and everyone will ultimately be judged by Him.
6. Beware of Collective Punishment:
Immoral practices, if unchecked, harm not only wrongdoers but the whole society. Muslims must work to prevent such evils, or they risk collective punishment.
7. Gratitude to Allah:
The Muslims should be grateful for Allah's past blessings, which saved them from weakness and fear, and should show this gratitude through loyalty, obedience, and trust in Allah’s help in times of struggle.
8. Do Not Betray Trusts:
Believers should not betray their responsibilities or trusts, whether personal, collective, or in positions of authority.
9. Worldly Trials:
One’s wealth and children are tests from Allah. They should not be a source of distraction or lead to hypocrisy or dishonesty, but should be handled with sincerity in fulfilling Allah’s commands.
