LESSON # 10 of Chapter # 6. Summary of Verses (83-90) of Chapter # 6 Surah Al An'am: In these verses of Surah Al-An'am, from 83 to 90 several key points are highlighted: 1. Divine Guidance to Prophets: The verses recount how God granted Abraham a powerful argument against his people and elevated him and his descendants, including Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Zachariah, John, Jesus, Elias, Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot. All these figures were guided by God and honored for their righteousness. 2. Precedence and Favor: These prophets and their forebears were favored by God due to their exclusive devotion and shunning of polytheism. Their elevated status and guidance came as a result of their steadfast faith in God. 3. Exclusive Guidance: God’s guidance is exclusive to those who sincerely worship Him alone. If they had associated others with Him, their deeds would have been in vain. The prophets' leadership and divine favor were based on their pure monotheism. 4. Bestowal of Divine Gifts: The prophets were given the Book (divine revelation), hukm (understanding and application of divine principles), and prophethood (leadership role). If the current people reject this guidance, God will grant it to those who do believe. 5. Prophet Muhammad’s Role: Muhammad is advised to follow the path of these guided prophets and to continue his mission without seeking any reward, as his purpose is to provide guidance and admonition to humanity.
