LESSON # 10 of Chapter # 7. Summary of Verses (73-79) of Chapter # 7 Surah Al A'araf: Here’s a summary of the key points from the verses of Surah Al-A'raf: 1. Prophet Salih and the Thamud: Prophet Salih was sent to the Thamud, urging them to worship Allah and not harm the she-camel, which was a Divine sign. The she-camel was to be left unharmed as a sign from Allah, and those who wronged it would face severe punishment. 2. The Thamud's Destruction: The Thamud, known for their advanced skills in rock-carving and architecture, took advantage of their power in the land but eventually disobeyed Allah. Despite the warnings, they killed the she-camel, leading to their destruction. 3. Miraculous Nature of the She-Camel: The she-camel was a miracle, grazing freely in their fields and drinking water from their wells on alternate days. Its killing led to severe punishment from Allah, confirming Salih’s prophethood. 4. The Punishment: The Thamud faced a sudden calamity, which destroyed them, leaving them lying dead in their dwellings. The disaster was a result of their collective sin, as the whole nation supported the crime. 5. Lesson for Humanity: The destruction of the Thamud serves as a lesson that if people become wicked and mischievous, they may face similar punishment, as Allah can replace them with others who are righteous. Salih expressed his regret that his people did not accept his message and guidance. These points highlight the Thamud’s defiance, the miracle of the she-camel, and the eventual divine punishment they faced for their disbelief and transgression.
