LESSON # 9 of Chapter # 7.
Summary of Verses (65-72) of Chapter # 7 Surah Al A'araf:
Here is a summary of the verses from Surah Al-A'raf:
1- Hud's Message to 'Ad:
Hud was sent by Allah to the people of 'Ad, urging them to worship Allah alone and avoid evil.
The 'Ad were known for their great power and glory but were later destroyed as a lesson to others.
2- Rejection and Mockery:
The leaders of 'Ad rejected Hud, calling him foolish and a liar.
Hud responded by asserting that he was a Messenger of Allah, delivering divine messages and sincere advice.
3- Reminder of Allah's Bounties:
Hud reminded the people of the blessings Allah had bestowed upon them, including their prosperity and power after the people of Noah. He urged them to recognize these favors and avoid ingratitude.
4- People's Demand for Punishment:
The people of 'Ad demanded that Hud bring the punishment he had warned them about, challenging his message about worshiping only Allah and abandoning their idols.
5- Rejection of Idols:
Hud emphasized that their idols were meaningless, and Allah alone had the power to grant or withhold blessings. He criticized their reliance on false gods, who had no true power.
6- Divine Punishment:
Hud warned that Allah's wrath would come upon them due to their disbelief and idolatry.
The 'Ad were ultimately destroyed by Allah, while Hud and his followers were spared.
7- Destruction of 'Ad:
The 'Ad were completely wiped out, their monuments erased, and they became a symbol of an extinct people. Only the followers of Hud, the "Second 'Ad," survived.
Archaeological evidence supports their destruction, and remnants of their culture remain, including inscriptions about their former prosperity and the teachings of Hud.
These points encapsulate the story of Hud's mission to the people of 'Ad, their rejection, and their eventual destruction due to their disbelief and idolatry.
