LESSON # 7 of Chapter # 7.
Summary of Verses (54-58) of Chapter # 7 Surah Al A'araf:
Here is a short summary of the verses from Surah Al-A'raf
1- Allah's Sovereignty and Creation:
- Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth in six "days" (periods), and after creation, He ascended the Throne to govern and control the universe. Everything, including the sun, moon, and stars, is subservient to His command.
- Allah's sovereignty is absolute, and His power governs all things. His rule is not detached from creation; He remains actively involved in managing and sustaining it.
2- Calling Upon Allah:
- People are instructed to call upon Allah with humility and in secret, avoiding arrogance and transgression.
- Misuse of the earth (mischief) after it has been ordered by Allah is forbidden. True reform comes from turning to Allah alone, acknowledging Him as the only true guardian and helper, fearing and longing for His mercy.
3- Rain and Divine Guidance:
- Allah sends winds as a herald of His mercy, bringing rain that revives barren land, producing fruits and vegetation. This is a metaphor for divine guidance brought by the Prophets, which revives the hearts of the righteous but exposes the corruption in the wicked.
- Just as fertile land benefits from rain, the righteous benefit from the teachings of the Prophets, while the wicked remain unaffected, producing only harmful outcomes.
4- Allegory of Land and Prophethood:
- Good land produces abundant vegetation under Allah's command, while bad land yields poor growth. Similarly, the Prophets bring forth guidance for those whose hearts are pure, while those with corrupt hearts resist and expose their impurities.
- The distinction between the righteous and the wicked is made clear through the Prophets' messages, allowing society to purify itself as gold is purified from alloy.
