Summary of Verses (152-157) of Chapter # 7 Surah Al A'araf:
Here is a summary of the verses from Surah Al-A'raf:
1. Punishment for Worshipping the Calf:
Those who worshipped the golden calf will face anger from Allah and humiliation in this world, as a punishment for their falsehoods.
2. Repentance and Forgiveness:
Those who commit evil but later repent and believe in Allah will find Him to be All-Forgiving and All-Compassionate.
3. Moses Receives the Tablets Again:
After Moses' anger subsided, he took up the tablets again, which contained guidance and mercy for those who fear Allah.
4. Moses' Plea for Mercy:
Moses prayed for forgiveness and mercy for the 70 men selected from his people, acknowledging that Allah alone can guide and mislead as He wills.
5. The Test of People:
A test helps distinguish between the righteous and the wicked. Success in trials depends on Allah's support and guidance, and failure comes from lack of His guidance, which follows wisdom and justice.
6. Allah's Mercy and Wrath:
Allah’s mercy encompasses everything, and while His punishment is for those who rebel, His mercy is shown to those who abstain from evil, give Zakat, and believe in His signs.
7. Guidance to Follow Prophet Muhammad:
The people are encouraged to follow the "ummi Prophet" (Prophet Muhammad), who is mentioned in the Torah and Gospel, as this will lead to success. Those who believe in him, assist him, and follow his guidance will prosper.
8. The Essential Role of Zakah:
Just like the Israelites were told to pay Zakah, it is emphasized that Zakah must be accompanied by support for the struggle to establish truth, led by the Prophet Muhammad. Simply giving charity is meaningless if it does not serve this cause.
9. Rejection of False Beliefs:
Those who reject the Revelation given to Prophet Muhammad cannot be considered true believers, no matter how devout they claim to be with their own scriptures.
10. The Israelites' Disobedience:
The Israelites were reminded that their disobedience to Allah’s commandments, particularly the rejection of the Prophet Muhammad, continues to provoke His anger. Their self-imposed restrictions have been lifted by the Prophet, who made lawful what they had prohibited and prohibited what they had made lawful.
