LESSON # 16 of Chapter # 7.
Summary of Verses (127-141) of Chapter # 7 Surah Al A'araf:
Here are the summary points of the verses from Surah Al-A'raf:
1. Pharaoh's oppression:
The elders of Pharaoh's people propose that Moses and his followers should be left to spread mischief. Pharaoh responds by planning to kill the male children of the Israelites while sparing the females, asserting his dominance over them.
2. Moses' encouragement to his people:
Moses advises his people to seek Allah's help, remain steadfast, and assures them that the land will be granted to the righteous, where they will have power over their enemies.
3. Israelites' suffering:
The Israelites express their frustration, claiming they were oppressed both before and after Moses' arrival. Moses reassures them that their enemy will be destroyed, and they will inherit the land.
4. Pharaoh's denial of signs:
Despite witnessing divine signs, Pharaoh and his people dismiss them as sorcery, though they secretly know the signs are genuine.
5. Divine punishments:
Pharaoh's people face various plagues—floods, locusts, lice, frogs, and blood—but they continue to reject Moses' message. They beg for relief, promising to believe in Moses, but break their promise once the scourge is removed.
6. Destruction of Pharaoh's people:
Due to their arrogance and rejection of Allah's signs, Pharaoh and his people are drowned in the sea, while the Israelites inherit the lands of the blessed regions.
7. The Israelites' desire for idols:
After crossing the sea, the Israelites encounter people worshipping idols and ask Moses to make them a god. Moses rebukes them, calling them ignorant.
8. The influence of Egyptian idolatry:
The Israelites, influenced by their long period of slavery in Egypt, had become inclined toward idol worship, even desiring to adopt the practices of the Egyptians.
9. Call to follow Allah:
Moses reminds the Israelites of Allah’s deliverance from Pharaoh’s oppression and the trials they endured, urging them to remain true to Allah and not turn to false gods.
