Second Conditional
Learning Outcomes:
Learning second conditional grammar can help the student to create more complex expressions as well as improve their fluency and sophistication in English!
Good luck!
Note: Would / or Wouldn't will not appear twice in a sentence.
Your IF clause or condition will never contain 'would' or 'wouldn't'
You can use 'I would' or I'd. Both are acceptable.
Note: The auxiliary verb 'be' will change to were if it appears in the if clause / condition.
For example: If I / he / she / we / they were
Lesson Summary:
The second conditional is used to imagine present or future situations that are impossible or unlikely in reality. It is also used for making polite requests and giving advice.
