II. BE VERBS (or Verb To Be/ Verb of Being) - some verbs does not denote action. Some of these verbs are called BE VERBS. Note: am is always used with the pronoun I.

Be verbs may be used as: A. Linking Verbs - When the Be Verb is NOT followed by an action verb, it functions as a linking verb.

Examples: 1. Mr. and Mrs. Dedios daughter is pretty. 2. Kuro is the president of a company. 3. Emma and Kuro are friends. 4. Salsa favorite color is red.

B. Helping Verbs - When the Be Verb is followed by an action verb. It functions as a helping verb.

Examples: 1. Rosa is driving a car. 2. Tini and Gemmy are planting crops. 3. The employee is working at night. 4. Nisma is reading a book. 5. Sidisalem and Jesus are reading a poem.
