The Wise Old Owl Once upon a time, there was a wise old owl who lived in a big oak tree. He watched everything around him quietly. Every day, he saw people and animals making mistakes, but he never said anything. One day, a young bird asked him, “Why don’t you ever speak?” The owl replied, “I speak less because I listen more. The more I listen, the more I learn. And the more I learn, the wiser I become.” The young bird thought about this and smiled. From that day on, he started listening more and talking less.
