Patience vs Procrastination (1)

Patience is a significant element of success, and procrastination is a significant element of failure. To an outside observer, patience and procrastination can look the same. The difference between patience and procrastination can be determined by whether you’re waiting on something or something is waiting on you. Patience involves celebrating the task you have done while waiting for the seed you have planted to grow. Procrastination involves avoiding what you know needs to be done, which makes a mockery of your passion, your goals, and your destiny.

1). To be at the end of your tether = to have no patience left or to run out of patience ==> I’ve asked my daughter to clean her room 3 times this morning, and she still hasn’t done it; I am at the end of my tether. 2). My patience is wearing thin = I am becoming less and less patient ==> I have asked you so many times to do this, and now my patience is wearing thin.

3. To lose it = to lose your patience and temper (to get angry) ==> I am going to lose it if I have to repeat my order to the waitress again 4. To have the patience of job = to be very patient ==> You need to have the patience of Job when waiting your turn in a government office 5. Hold your horses! = Wait! ==> Hold your horses, be patient! A watched pot never boils = Waiting for something eagerly seems to take a long time. Rome wasn’t built in a day = All things take time to do. Good things come to he who waits = If you wait patiently, you will be rewarded.

Patience vs Procrastination (4)

Patience - Can You Wait Patiently? Your mom gives you a candy bar. She tells you not to eat it yet. Your mouth starts to water. You want to eat the candy bar. You do not want to wait. Your mom is forcing you to be patient. Waiting is hard. Waiting is called having patience. If you eat the candy bar now, you would disobey your mother. It would also mean that you show impatience. Impatience means that you cannot wait any longer to do what you want to do. Patience is something you learn to have. You learn patience when you force yourself to do the opposite of want you really want to do. You will have more patience if you teach yourself how to control your actions. You should feel proud of yourself when you are patient.

Patience vs Procrastination (5)

Procrastination is one of the main barriers blocking you from getting up, making the right decisions and living the dream life you've thought of. Recent studies have shown that people regret more the things they haven't done than the things they have done. In addition, feelings of regret and guilt resulting from missed opportunities tend to stay with people much longer. Sometimes all our opportunities seem to be on our fingertips, but we can't seem to reach them. When you procrastinate, you waste time that you could be investing in something meaningful. If you can overcome this fierce enemy, you will be able to accomplish more and in doing so better utilize the potential that life has to offer.
