Zoro, who had been saved by Luffy from execution, agrees but only on one condition - that Luffy will never get in the way of his dream to become the world's strongest swordsman.
Luffy: 'Hey Zoro, I want you to join my crew!'
Zoro: 'Why should I?'
Luffy: 'Because you're strong, and I like strong guys. Plus, I'm going to be the King of the Pirates!'
Zoro: 'I'll join, but only if you promise never to stand in the way of my dream.'
Luffy: 'Deal! I promise!'

Usopp: 'Sure, which one do you want to hear?'
Kaya: 'The one about the brave pirates who sailed the seas and found the One Piece!'
Usopp: 'I'm not just going to tell you a story, Kaya. I'm going to make that story come true!'

Nami: 'Why did you adopt me, Bellemere?'
Bellemere: 'Because I couldn't leave a baby alone on that battlefield. I saw you and your sister and knew I had to protect you. You became my daughters, and I couldn't be prouder.'
Nami: 'I'm sorry, Bellemere. I betrayed you all for money.'
Bellemere: 'It's okay, Nami. You did what you had to do to protect the ones you love. That's all that matters.'
This conversation shows the unconditional love and sacrifice of a mother for her daughters, and the guilt and regret that Nami carries with her.
