Overcoming Demotivation We need to be more kind to ourselves.

Have we ever felt tired, stressed, or not enthusiastic about doing work and just spent the day not doing something that is actually our responsibility and even end up giving up on it? Actually, we really want to finish the job but we experience demotivation. A feeling where we feel tired and lose enthusiasm to do it. We feel we can’t do something optimally, from small things or tasks that are our priority. These feelings are caused because we feel physically, mentally, or emotionally exhausted because of stress excess. While often when we experience demotivation, we tend to isolate ourselves from the environment, are no longer interested in socializing, and even stay away from the people around us. Besides that, we also lose interest in developing ourselves because we have an excessive fear of what we will face later. And those things can hinder us from being able to grow. To overcome this, we don’t need to go far to find external motivation, it’s just that we need to be more kind to ourselves. It’s okay if we want to take a break for a while and forget about the tasks that are in front of us. But don’t let us hurt ourselves and become more stressed by doing nothing. The first step to overcoming demotivation is to give ourselves time to feel loved. Let our bodies, thoughts, and negative feelings go. After feeling better then we can definitely do all the work we want to get done. Do something that helps us feel better, not force ourselves but give ourselves time to feel comfortable. For example, stopping to self-isolate and going to a place where we can breathe fresh air, exercise, eat healthy food, drink enough, write down all our worries in the journal, enjoy our favorite snacks, or light aromatherapy candles. Check our bodies and see what our bodies need most right now. Again, be kind to yourself. Rest without worrying about the problems we are experiencing, and rest assured that after we can be kinder, we will be excited again and ready to face what lies ahead. Then when we feel better about ourselves, try to open up by interacting. Like exchanging news with friends and telling our worries to our family or those closest to us. And when we have succeeded in opening ourselves up slowly by interacting, we will feel more relieved and will be excited again to focus on the work waiting for us. Don’t let us feel alone because there are many people around us, who will always support us and be ready for their ears and helping hands. Don’t forget to pay more attention to our surroundings, see something we can be grateful for, and send a message of all our hopes to God through our best prayers. Rest assured that something good is waiting for us. God will always give us the best results and we only need to do what is our task now. That way we get more understanding what is the meaning of our lives and be able to return to the spirit to focus on goals. Maybe we lose interest in doing a task or work but try to focus on the meaning of the work — what impact all the work we do. There is nothing wrong with us because we can choose how to act, think, and spend our time. Don’t focus on other people’s problems and opinions about us, it’s okay if what we do doesn’t go as it should. We just need to fully accept ourselves, keep trying to be good to ourselves, and give ourselves space to keep growing. Face what is in front of us right now and let us achieve what we deserve. Nothing is in vain in trying to be good. Good for ourselves, for others, and for the world. When we are kind to ourselves, we will be more eager to face the challenges that exist. Nothing is easy, but the effort we put in will never be in vain. When facing a problem that gets us down, try to see it from a different perspective. What does God teach us in this matter? What’s the biggest lesson we can learn? it will also make us will get back motivated. When we shift our perspective from “Why did this happen to us” to “What can we learn from this”, we not only cultivate a sense of faith and take a deeper meaning of our purpose, work, or task but also a more proactive approach and prepared to face whatever happens. Don’t fall into the trap of, “Everyone does it so why shouldn’t I?” because we have different paths. We just need to focus on our way. The main thing is demotivating is a natural and humane thing. However, we should not be trapped continuously in these conditions. Try to be more kind to yourself and do new ways so that you can get back up and excited about whatever is your goal. Hopefully, we will always be given the strength to be greater.
