John 2, part 1 (1~11)

John 2 Jesus Changes Water Into Wine 1 On the third day there was a wedding. It took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there. 2:1 이틀 후에 갈릴리 가나에 결혼식이 있었다. 예수님의 어머니도 거기 계시고 2 Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 2:2 예수님과 제자들도 초대를 받아 가셨다. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine.“ 2:3 그런데 포도주가 떨어졌다. 그래서 예수님의 어머니가 예수님께 '이 집에 포도주가 떨어졌구나.' 하자 4 "Dear woman, why do you bring me into this?" Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come.“ 2:4 예수님은 '어머니, 나와 무슨 관계가 있다고 그러십니까 ? 아직 내 때가 되지 않았습니다.' 하고 대답하셨다. 5 His mother said to the servants, "Do what he tells you.“ 2:5 그러나 예수님의 어머니는 하인들에게 '무엇이든지 그가 시키는 대로 하여라.' 하고 일러 주었다. 6 Six stone water jars stood nearby. The Jews used water from that kind of jar for special washings to make themselves pure. Each jar could hold 20 to 30 gallons. 2:6 거기에는 유대인의 정결 의식에 사용되는 돌항아리 여섯 개가 놓여 있었는데 각각 물 두세 통 드는 크기였다. 7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the top. 2:7 예수님이 하인들에게 '항아리마다 물을 가득 채워라.' 하시자 그들은 아구까지 물을 가득 채웠다. 8 Then he told them, "Now dip some out. Take it to the person in charge of the dinner." They did what he said. 2:8 그리고 예수님이 하인들에게 '이제 떠다가 잔치 책임자에게 갖다 주어라.' 하시자 하인들은 그대로 하였다. 9 The person in charge tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He didn't realize where it had come from. But the servants who had brought the water knew. Then the person in charge called the groom to one side. 2:9 잔치 책임자는 물로 된 포도주를 맛보고 어디서 났는지 몰랐으나 그것을 떠 온 하인들은 알고 있었다. 잔치 책임자는 신랑을 불러 10 He said to him, "Everyone brings out the best wine first. They bring out the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink. But you have saved the best until now.“ 2:10 '흔히 좋은 포도주를 먼저 내놓고 손님들이 취한 뒤에 그보다 못한 것을 내놓는데 당신은 지금까지 좋은 포도주를 남겨 두었군요' 하였다. 11 That was the first of Jesus' miraculous signs. He did it at Cana in Galilee. Jesus showed his glory by doing it. And his disciples put their faith in him. 2:11 예수님이 갈릴리 가나에서 처음으로 이런 기적을 행하여 그의 영광을 나타내시자 제자들은 예수님을 믿게 되었다.
