ATTENDING A JOB INTERVIEW
LESSON OUTCOMES
1. In this lesson students will read a dialogue and learn useful vocabulary for attending a job interview in English.
2. The lesson includes an article about things candidates shouldn't say during an interview.
3. There is a discussion activity at the end of the lesson.
4. Students will feel confident enough to speak, when at an interview.
VOCABULARY
Department - a division of a large organization such as a government, college or business, dealing with a specific area of activity.
Skill - the ability to do something well.
Position - a person's place or level of importance in relation to others.
Experience - the knowledge or skill acquired by a period of practical experience of something, especially that gained in a particular job.
Representative - a person chosen to act or speak for another or others
scheduling - Arrange or plan an event to take place at a particular time.
Appointments - an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place.
Pressure - the urge you get to complete work-related tasks within a specific period.
Motivating - the drive or inspiration that an individual has to perform at work.
