Let's practice a little conversation 🙋🏻‍♀️ A : 찜질방에 왜 가나요? (Jjim - jil - bang - e - wae - ga - na - yo?) Why do you go to korean sauna? (Pih - ro - reul - puh - ryeo - go - jjim - jil - bang - e - ga - yo.) I go to korean sauna to relieve my fatigue / tiredness.

The second activity you can do in korean sauna is : 'to get rid of cold sweat.' Cold sweat is a sign of unhealthy body condition / when you feel pressured. 🎗Vocabularies 땀 (ttam) = sweat 빼다 (ppae - da) = to get rid of / to remove 》식은 땀(을) 빼다.

(Jjim - jil - bang - ee - wae - geon - gang - e - joh - na - yo?) Why is korean sauna good for health? (Jjim - jil - bang - e - seo - seek - eun - ttam - eul - ppael - soo - ee - seo - seo - geon - gang - e - joh - a - yo.) In korean sauna, we can remove cold sweat so it's good for health.

🔮Vocabularies A. 불가마 (bul - ga - ma) = a heated furnace. In Korea, there are many types of 불가마. Commonly, it is used for sauna and for firing hard substances like pottery. You can also find hard roasted eggs in 불가마 when you go to korean sauna. B. 도자기 (do - ja - gi) = a ceramic ware. C. 굽다 (goop - da) = to bake / to broil / to roast / to fire in furnace D. 깨다 (kkae - da) = to break * 깨지다 (kkae - ji - da) = to be broken E. 온도를 맞춰주다 (on - do - reul - mat - cwo - ju - da) = to set / adjust the temperature 🧏🏻‍♀️ Practice Speaking in Korean 🗣 No. 1 우리 새로 생긴 불가마 사우나에 가지 않을래? (oo - ri - sae - ro - saeng - gin - bul - ga - ma - sa - u - na - e - ga - ji - anh - eul - lae?) 》Shouldn't we go to the new bulgama sauna? (Do - ja - gi - ga - kkae - ji - ji - anh - go - jal - gu - wo - ji - ryeo - myeon - bul - ga - ma - e - on - do - reul - jal - mat - chwo - jwo - ya - han - da.) 》We need to adjust the temperature of bulgama properly, so that we don't break a ceramic while firing it. (Jjim - jil - bang - an - e - eet - neun - bul - ga - ma - e - seo - gu - un - gye - ran - ee - ra - a - ju - mas - see - seum - ni - da.) 》It is a roasted egg from the bulgama sauna, so it's very tasty.

The 3rd activity to do in korean sauna is : 'eat something while fully resting.' Many people would spend quite some time in the korean sauna, so it is natural to be hungry. What kind of food / snacks we can find in korean sauna? A) 구운 계란 (goo - un - gye - ran) 》hard-roasted egg. B) 식혜 (sik - hye) 》korean sweet rice drink : usually contains rice, barley, malt, water, and sugar. C) 자판기 (ja - pan - gi) 》vending machine : usually selling snacks or drinks. D) 편의점 음식 (pyeon - e - jeom - eum - sik) 》convenient foods : such as istant noodles / ramyeon, gimbap, Jja-jang-myeon, etc. (Jjim - jil - bang - e - seo - sa - ram - deu - ri - bo - tong - mwo - meog - eo - yo?) 》What do people usually eat in korean sauna? (Jjim - jil - bang - e - seo - bo - tong - goo - un - gye - ran - gwa - sik - hye - reul - meong - neun - sa - ram - deu - ri - man - a - yo.) 》Usually, there are many people in korean sauna who eat roasted eggs and sikhye. Every person has different taste buds / favorite food to enjoy :)

The 4th thing you can do in korean sauna is : 'folding a head towel' ♨️ Vocabularies ♨️ Usually, Korean people would fold a head towel (a small towel on their head, into a sheep-like ears shape). They call it 양머리, because 양 means 'sheep' & 머리 means 'head.' 수건 means 'towel.' And, the verb 접다 means 'to fold.' * 양머리 수건을 접기 (yang - meo - ri - soo - geon - eul - jeob - gi) = to fold a head towel in korean sauna. (Yang - meo - ri - soo - geon - eul - eo - tteoh - ke - man - deu - reo - yo?) = How do you make a head towel? 💡If you say this, usually Korean people will understand that it means 'to make a head towel in a sauna.'

The last and 5th thing from me about activities in korean sauna is : 'to do a yoga.' * 요가를 하다 (yo - ga - reul - ha - da) = to do a yoga. # Note : There are so many ways for people to enjoy their time in korean sauna. But the thing is, people come there to get relaxation and mind healing. The end of lesson 2 - thank you! ^^
