1. The irregular verbs are not verbs that were fromed from nouns by adding 하다 (to do) Example: 공부 (study) + 하다 (to do) = 공부하다 (to study) 2. The irregular verbs stem change with different tenses

Present Tense 1. 강아지가 문을 엽니다. 2. 힘쎈 아이가 문을 연다. Present Progressive Tense 1. 너무 답답해서 창문을 활짝 열고있습니다 2. 짝사랑의 마음의 문을 열고있다. Past Tense 1. 그녀는 방문을 쎄게 열었습니다. 2. 나는 가방을 열었다.

Present tense 1. 눈이 내립니다. 2. 나는 3번 버스에서 내린다. Present progressive 1. 비가 내리고있습니다. 2. 그는 차에서 내리고있다. Past tense 1. 어제 우박이 내렸습니다. 2. 그녀는 비행기에서 내렸다.

Present tense 1. 쓰레기를 버립니다. 2. 나는 너의 일기장 버린다. Present progressive tense 1. 음식물 쓰레기를 부리수거장에서 버리고있습니다. 2. 그는 캔을 버리고있다. Past tense 1. 어제 잘못으로 컴퓨터를 버렸습니다. 2. 찌젓인 옷은 버렸다

Present tense 1. 손을 올립니다. 2. 기도를 올린다. Present progressive 1. 찬양을 올리고있습니다. 2. 가방을 머리 위로 올리고있다. Past tense 1. 두 팔을 하늘 높이 올렸습니다. 2. 머리 위로 두 손을 번쩍 올렸다.

Present tense 1. 풍선이 하늘로 오릅니다. 2. 내가 산을 오른다. Present progressive tense 1. 가격이 오르고있습니다. 2. 열이 오르고있다. Past tense 1. 분노가 올랐습니다. 2. 해가 이미 올랐다.

When verbs are used in non-verbal grammatical function, we change the stem of the verb. 열린, 연 (stem change of 열다 to adjective) 열기 (stem change of 열다 to noun) 내린 (stem change of 내리다 to adjective) 내리기 (stem change of 내리다 to noun) 버린 (stem change of 버리다 to adjective) 버리기 (stem change of 버리다 to noun) 올린 (stem change of 올리다 to adjective) 올리기 (stem change of 올리다 to noun) 오른 (stem change of 오르다 to adjective) 오르기 (stem change of 오르다 to noun)

오르막: uphill 내리막: downhill 버림: discard 올림: raise 열림: open 내림: deflate 올름: inflation * For these stem changes, there is no definite rule; thus, I recommend you memorize them.
