Greetings and Introduction

We will learn some basic phrases to introduce ourselves to each other in Korean. We will practice the introductory phrases.

Korean has formal and informal use. Formal use is for work and for people you just met. Infomral use is for friends.

Formal: 안녕하세요. (An nyung ha sae yo) Informal: 안녕! (An nyung)

Formal:  제 이름은 (Jae irum un) Informal: 내 이름은 (Nae irum un)

Formal: 저는 _____에서 왔어요. (Ju nun ______ eh soe wat su yo) Informal: 나는 _____에서 왔어 (Na nun ____ ehso wat suh)

Formal: 저는 _____입니다. (Ju nun _____ im ni da) Informal: 나는 ______이야. (Na nun _____ i ya)

1: 한살 (hanssal) 11: 열한살 (yul hanssal) 2: 두살 (doossal) 12: 열두살 (yul doossal) 3: 세살 (saessal) 13. 열세살 (yul saessal) 4: 네살 (naessal) 14: 연네살 (yul naessal) 5: 다섯살 (dasut ssal) 15:열 다섯살 (yul dasut ssal) 6: 여섯살 (yusut ssal) 16: 열여섯살 (yul yusul ssal) 7: 일곱살 (ilgop ssal) 17: 열일곱살 (yul ilgop ssal) 8: 여덜살 (yudul ssal) 18: 열여덜살 (yul yudul ssal) 9: 아홉살 (ahop ssal) 19: 열아홉살 (yul ahop ssal) 10: 열살 (yul ssal) 20: 스무살 (sumu ssal)

Introduce yourself with the phrases we just learned.

Introduce yourself to the class. Everyone else will write down your name, age and your nationality. Then, we will check together to see if the information is correct.
