English Exclamations!
Some things we say aren’t really words, they are more like cries to show a reaction or emotion. Every language uses different exclamations, so, erm, without further delay, here are some commonly used exclamations words.
1. ERM/HMMM- sound you make to express hesitation or when you are thinking about something or don't know exactly what to say.
1. Well, erm, I wanted to have a word with you.
2. Erm, let’s ask mum when she comes home.
3. Hmmm. Somehow I doubt that.
4. Hmmm! The new principle is no match to our former principal
2. OH! We use oh as an interjection to express surprise or disappointment:
1. Oh, that's wonderful.
2. Oh! I forget to lock the door.
3. Oh! We have lost the election.
4. Oh yes/oh no, that's is beautiful/terrible
WOW- used to express astonishment wonder, great pleasure or admiration.
1. Wow! Look at that!
2. Wow, what a good idea.
3. Wow, that was relief.
4. Wow! You look terrific!
EH- this word is used to ask for confirmation or express inquiry or agreement. Ex.
1. What a game, eh?
2. You really messed that one up, eh!
3. It wasn't a surprise, eh?
4. Eh! He's at it again.
ALAS! this is another way of saying "unfortunately". Used to express disappointment, grief or pity. Examples
1. Alas, I couldn't keep her long as I wished.
2. Alas, poor Romeo, he is already dead!
3. Alas, my love. I must leave now.
4. Such scandals have not, alas, been absent
AWW/AW! used to express approval of something cute or attractive. It is also used as an expression of sympathy or pity. Example
1. Aww, the kitten is cute.
2. Aww, that's so sad, he hasn't yet learned to ride a bicycle.
3. Aww, that flower crown looks really good on you.
4. Aww, now you are making me cry.
HA! used to express surprise, suspicion, triumph or joy. Examples

GOODNESS SAKE! used to express surprise annoyance, worry or anger. Examples
1. Will you hurry up, for goodness sake?

OUCH! this word is used to express pain. Examples
1. Ouch. You stepped on my toe
