DIALOGUES PART 1

A girl sat alone in a Coffee House. She looked familiar so I walked up to her. Me: " I think I have seen you somewhere. Your face looks familiar. " She: " Is that what you say to all the pretty girls you approach?" Me (with a serious face): " Oh no, you have that disorder. " She (now interested): " What disorder do I have O' doctor profound? " Me: " The ' misinterpreting others and overestimating yourself ' disorder. " She (suppressing a smile): " That was not funny." Me(smiling): " Sorry. Your chuckle suggested otherwise." I sat down in front of her and ordered a coffee. She: " So, you have a girlfriend?" Me: " Yes. She is perfect." She: " Recent?" Me: " No." She: " Imaginary?" Me: " Yes. " She(casually): " Thought so." We both burst out laughing. Me (after composing myself): " How the hell did you guess that ?" She(smiling): " Come on. You cracked a joke on me in the first five seconds of the conversation. I hardly expect you to call your long term girlfriend 'perfect' instantaneously. " Me: " Nicely done Miss Holmes. Nicely done." She: " Elementary, my dear Watson." We smiled at each other and sipped our coffee. Me: " So, you want some snakes with your coffee?" She: " Such an amazing use of puns. Outstanding." Me: " Could you be any more sarcastic?" She: " After experiencing that amazing Chandler Bing impersonation, never." Me(gloomily): " So you can be more sarcastic." She laughed and placed her hand over mine as consolation. Me: " Have I done enough to secure another tryst with you?" She: " Umm...Well, it wouldn't hurt to meet you one more time." Me: " Such humility in display. Appalling. " She gave a cute little laugh. We paid our respective bills and left the Coffee House. Now outside; She: " Can you explain to me one more time as to why we do this stranger-first date-stuff even though we are in a relationship ? " Me(smiling): " Hey, we never know when our relationship might come to an end. We need to keep our dating skills in tune for the unpredictable future." She(smacking my shoulder): " You fucking moron. I hate you." Me(pulling her closer): " Haha 'Fucking Moron', that was eloquent. No, if you remember I promised you that no matter what I would keep our relationship interesting. This is one of my many plans to do that." She gave me a loving smile and clasped my hand a little tighter as we walked back home.

Girl: “ Apologies for my prodding nature but I can’t help but notice that you are here everyday, you sit in the same place and you are mostly alone. “ Man(smiling): “ No need to apology. It’s an old habit. One that I shared with a lot of friends of mine in the past. “ Girl: ” Where are they now ? ” Man: “ Busy with their lives. “ Girl: “ I am sorry. It’s tough to lose close friends. “ Man: “ I did not lose them. It’s just that we have outgrown that phase.” Following 5 minutes of silence. Girl: “ You know, I am a columnist. I have to write an article on Friendship Day which is in a few days but I don’t have a single thought in my head.” Man: “ Maybe I can offer a few insights. I have experienced friendship. Ask anything you want. ” Girl: “ So, what was so special about your group ?” Man: “ That we were absolutely normal. “ Girl: “ Sorry ? “ Man(chuckling): “ I mean there was nobody special in the group. We all were normal people doing normal tasks and living normal lives. Magic arose when we got together. A magic which only we could feel. “ Girl: “ Wow. Any special moments ? ” Man: “ We made moments special. I mean, that is what you are supposed to do with your friends, right ? I remember having the time of our lives when there was power cuts in the city. I remember playing all sorts of wacky games amongst us. Watching the same movie again and again and a plethora of other crazy stuff. “ Girl: “ Come on. There must be something special. Otherwise you would not miss them so bad. “ Man: “ Well, we did not have to think before we spoke something when we were together. You know like how you constantly think before you speak so that the person in front of you does not judge you ? There was nothing like that. There was no judgement. Everybody was so comfortable with each other that whatever was inside, came outside. Uncensored. Unembellished. “ Girl: “ But did that not cause any fights ? “ Man: “ Of course it did. But we were like a jigsaw puzzle. The puzzle felt incomplete when a piece went missing and did everything to become complete again. “ Girl: “ Have you changed since you parted with your friends ? “ Man(smiling): “ Yeah, a lot. I have started reading. Solitude kind of pushes you towards books, you know. My friends would be shocked if they found out. I try to control my diet a bit. They would die if they knew that. I have realized how insanely lucky I was to be a part of that blessed group. Although, I think we all realized that.” Girl: “ Hearing all of this makes me jealous.” Man: ”Yeah, we had that effect as a group. We found everything in that group. Love, trust, support, weirdness, heartbreak, strength and everything else you can think of. “ Girl: “Major friendship goals there. You think there is something that this present generation should know about friendship? “ Man: I am not very good on the advice department. I can albeit share a few things which made our group so strong. Trust. Support. Time. Forgiveness. Acceptance. I think that’s about it. I was never the “intelligent guy “ of the group. All of the things I have said so far was based on an experience I was lucky to be a part of. “ Girl(astounded): “This is gold. Whatever you have said is priceless. Maybe more so because it is based on your personal experience. Thank you so much for this wonderful chat. It has given me a lot of substance for my article and a few lessons for a lifetime. “ Man (getting up to leave): “No problem. It was a pleasure sharing.” As the man reached the door; Girl: “Hey, I forgot to ask your name. “ Man (while getting out of the coffee house): “It’s Joey. Might be your next lover!

Last Week, I visited to a Amanora Mall, Pune with my friends. There was a cute and beautiful girl near to the candy shop with her group. I was far away around 30 to 35m. Suddenly she came and.. She: Hello! What are you watching Mr.? Me: (I was shocked! Because I was not even aware that I was gazing at her for the last 5 minute!)Drops of sweat started falling from my face. Somehow I managed my facial expression and I replied… Me: I’m trying to figure out something. She: Yea, What? Me: I was thinking that, did you hurt when you fell from heaven on earth? * Awkward silence for 10 sec. * She: (nods,smiles,blushes) I'm also trying to figure out something? Me: (unexpected reply for me!) Ohh..really, what’s that? She: You’re looking so handsome in beard. Me: Thank you so much. She: Can you take a selfie with me,I want to make my boyfriend jealous. Me: Sorry I can't , as a guy I can feel that pain. She: Aahha! So do you have a girlfriend? ME: No, I’m single. She: (smile) Now my break up is assured. Me: Haha, congratulations! She: For breakup or for a new relationship (smile). Me: For a life. She: My whatsapp no. is +63621123312.Hit me there. She smiled and went. The way she flirted with me, that was an amazing experience…!!

PETER: Violet, sweety, calm down. It’s not what it looks like. [Looking kind of stressed] VIOLET: Really? [Raising her eyebrows] Are you absolutely sure, because I am pretty sure I saw you two all over each other just a second ago! SELENA: Look, [Stepping in front of Peter] it’s not what it- VIOLET: Shut up! PETER: Violet, can’t we just talk about this? [Steps next to Selena] SELENA: I totally agree. [Looking a bit afraid] VIOLET: So that’s what you think? [Looking questioningly at Selena, before she turns her head towards Peter] We all just talk about what happened and then everything will go back to normal? No, I don’t think so. [Sarcastic] PETER: Please, [Begging] why can’t we just talk about it? We were just kissing, V. SELENA: Yeah, [Confidently] it wasn’t like we were about to do something else.. VIOLET: Oh, please. [Rolling her eyes] You make me sick. You know what? I’m out of here. [Violet walks away, still with the glass of water and the beer in her hands.] PETER: Violet, come back! [Looking after her longingly] SELENA: So.. What do you say? [Leaning against Peter] Want to go upstairs? PETER: Selena, not now. [Peter hurries after Violet and Selena is left alone.] SELENA: Okay, fine, I was just asking. [Muttering to herself]

Maria - hello. Xavier- hey! Where are you ? Maria - *confused* what? Where am i supposed to be at this time? i am home but what happened ? Where are you ? Xavier- outside your house. Maria - *shocked* *wide eyed* What ! I mean what are you doing here ? Is everything okay!?? Xavier - ssshh ! Come down ! Its very important.. Maria - bu..but how can i ? Everybody’s home ! (I was a bit scared as to what will i say to my parents) Xavier- please ! Come down , don't ask any questions & hurry up!! Maria - okay wait ! (Tell my parents that one of my friends needs a book so he's waiting for me outside ) *went downstairs* Xavier- Hi whats up? *silence for about a minute * Maria- speak up ! We can’t stand here all night staring at each other (that was bit rude i know but it wasn't the place to stand & stare at each other :p) Xavier- I love you . Maria- what ????? I mean ..i..i don't know what to say. *after 15 sec* Xavier - yes ! I am.. like never before. Maria- See…i think you should go now ! Its not the right time & place. Xavier- Oh okay. ** At midnight** Maria - *calls him* hey Xavier - hi! i was waiting for your call only. And i am sorry i shouldn't have come to your house. Me- no.. it's okay *awkward silence* Xavier - Are you there maria? Maria- I was surprised when you said that to me as i wasn't expecting this. Its not less than a dream. I have always loved you but decided to never express my feelings. The one sided love .. there was no condition of you loving me back. It's not easy but there are no expectations. But now you love me & i have realised how beautiful it is to be loved back !! Xavier-  You thought you’ll always love me behind the walls & i will not get to know about it ! But sweetheart your eyes speak louder than your words. Whenever i see them i want to stick to them, there is ..so much love in your eyes … & i love you & this didn't happened only yesterday. My heart always loved you,my eyes always searching for yours to be loved back. So it was never one sided love .. *silence for 30 sec *. . Maria - i think i’ll have to wear glasses the next time we’ll meet ! :p Xavier - haha..you can never hide your feelings from me. ! :) Maria - i don't want to now ;)
