Dialogue: How was your weekend?
PAGE 1
Speaker 1: Good Morning, Cindy.
Speaker 2: Morning, Ann. I’ll tell you this much, I can really do with a bit of a workout this morning.
Speaker 1: Great! I’m full of beans today.
Speaker 2: Oh? How’s that? What did you get up to this weekend?
Speaker 1: Well, I went to visit my brother Pete, this weekend. I haven’t seen him in ages and on Saturday we went to visit a nature reserve and you must see how stunning this place is.
Speaker 2: That’s your brother who lives in Dublin right? I’ve heard of the beautiful nature reserve there. Please do tell me about it. I would love to visit it.

Speaker 1: You really should, we were met with a beautiful setting of a placid lake and a stunning waterfall. The natural surroundings were so beautiful, it almost felt like we were standing in the middle of a movie set.
Speaker 2: Wow, that sounds amazing. I hope you took loads of pictures.
Speaker 1: I did! We even got to see the sheep grazing on the rocky mountains. And then on Sunday, we decided to go and explore his local neighborhood. There really is a huge difference between exploring town by foot, as opposed to taking a drive. You get to see a lot more detail and really appreciate the scenery. But, tell me about your weekend. Anything interesting?

Speaker 2: I wish I could say it was as adventurous as yours, but I was a complete couch potato. I went shopping on Saturday morning and in the afternoon I just did some chores and had an early night for a change. My week was filled with late nights and work obligations. I just needed a good long sleep.
Speaker 1: Yeah, we all need one of those every now and again.
Speaker 2: Then on Sunday, my laziness continued. I ordered a pizza and my cat and I snuggled in front of the TV and binge-watched my favorite series. And that was a recap of my weekend! Short and sweet, but with some much-needed rest. Now I’m ready to face the challenges of this week. Maybe next time you go and visit your brother, I’ll join because I would love to see that nature reserve.
