Dialogue Daily Life (1)

Andy: Hi Teresa, how you doing? Teresa: Not bad, Andy. How are you? Andy: Doing well thanks. What you been up to lately? Teresa: I’ve just been flat out with work. We’ve had so much to sort out with our accounts department. Today was crazy though because I missed my alarm and slept in! Andy: Oh no! I hope you didn’t get into too much trouble at work. What time do you usually get up in the morning? Teresa: Usually around 5.30 am because it takes me an hour to get to work by train.

Andy: Gee that’s early! I don’t usually get up until 7.30 am and then I just jump in the shower, throw on my clothes, grab some toast and shoot off. Teresa: Ahh. I can’t do that. I like to take my time in the morning to get ready. I always plan to have a big breakfast and cup of tea but I usually just run out of time and end up grabbing a coffee and croissant on the way to work. Andy: Yeah, me too! Teresa: So what’s happening tonight? Andy: I’m meeting up with some friends for a few drinks. How about you? Teresa: I’m just going home and watch my favorite TV series. Andy: Nice! You are more than welcome to join us for drinks if you like?

Teresa: Aah. Thanks Andy, but I think it’s best if I just go straight home and have an early night. I really don’t want to upset my boss and be late for work again! Andy: All good! Maybe we can hook up over the weekend. Teresa: Sounds great! I’ll give you a call.
