Have you ever thought about this?
In 100 years, like in 2124, we will all be buried with our relatives and friends.
Strangers will live in our homes we fought so hard to build, and they will own everything we have today. All our possessions will be unknown and unborn, including the car we spent a fortune on, and will probably be scrap, preferably in the hands of an unknown collector.
Our descendants will hardly know who we were, nor will they remember us. How many of us know our grandfather's father?
After we die, we will be remembered for a few more years, then we are just a portrait on someone's bookshelf, and a few years later our history, photos and deeds disappear in history's oblivion. We won't even be memories.
If we paused one day to analyze these thoughts, perhaps we would understand how ignorant and weak the dream to achieve it all really was.
If we could only think about this, surely our approaches, our thoughts would change, we would be different people.
Always having more, no time for what's really valuable in this life. I'd change all this to live and enjoy the walks I've never taken, these hugs I didn't give, these kisses for our children and our loved ones, these jokes we didn't have time for.
Those would certainly be the most beautiful moments to remember, after all they would fill our lives with joy.
And we waste it day after day with greed and intolerance.
Lesson of Time
"When the bird is alive, it eats ants, When the bird is dead, ants eat it."
Whenever time and circumstances may change, Never degrade or hurt anyone in life. You may be powerful today but remember, time is more powerful than you!
One tree can produce a million fires, But one piece of fire is enough to burn a million trees.
Life on earth is like a cart wheel , it goes up and down, think carefully on the way you are going but don't be happy to look down on and criticize those who don't have today because you don't know tomorrow
🙏This life is just temporary💕
“SIX GOLDEN EGGS
A Story Worth Your Time.
A young girl asked her grandfather,
"Papa, what can you teach me that can be useful in my life?"
The grandfather thought for a long time, and then he said,
"I think I have a powerful life lesson to teach you. But before that, you have to do something that will get everyone's attention, something huge."
The girl asked pleasantly,
"Something like what, Papa?"
The grandfather paused for a moment, then whistled,
"You should go around the neighborhood and tell everyone that my ostrich had laid six golden eggs. They would all be surprised to hear it. Then tell them that each egg is worth many millions, and that I would become a multimillionaire by selling them. Tell everyone that soon my life would change forever, and I would become one of the richest men in the society."
The young girl did so without understanding the essence of it. After she came back, she and her grandfather waited all day and into the night, but none of their neighbours showed up at their house to congratulate him and rejoice with him.
The following morning, the grandfather said to the girl,
"Now, you should go back around the neighborhood and tell everyone that during last night, a thief came and destroyed my house, killed my ostrich and stole all the golden eggs. Tell them I've lost everything!"
The girl went out and told the neighbours so. However, after a short while, a shocking number of people crowded at their house. Surprised, the young girl asked her grandfather,
"Papa, why is it that a lot of people showed up today, but none came yesterday?"
The grandfather smiled and said,
"When people hear good news about you, they stay silent, ignore it and act like nothing happened. But when they hear bad news about you, they spread it like wildfire, and rush to confirm if it is true. People will find it difficult to celebrate your success, but will rush to witness your downfall..."
At that moment, the grandfather placed an arm around the girl's shoulders, smiled again, and then continued,
"Now this is the powerful life lesson I've got to teach you... The biggest lie we are told by people around us is that they are happy to see us succeed. The truth is, most people, even close friends and neighbours don't want to see you succeed. When someone realizes you're becoming more successful than them, it become a threat. Most people genuinely do not like people doing better than them. They become jealous, and deep down inside, they want nothing more than to have that life. However, it is important to remember that you cannot control how others act or how they perceive you. Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself. Stop trying to change them, stop worrying about what they are doing. Set your goals, follow your dreams, listen to your heart, and don't let anyone or anything stop you from achieving your dreams.”
THE TIGER AND THE MONKEY
A Short Moral Story.
A long, long time ago, a poor and old tiger married a very beautiful and lovely woman. In fact, she was the most wonderful woman in the kingdom.
Meanwhile, a rich monkey got jealous of the tiger and wanted his wife for himself. One day, he went to him and said,
"You're too poor and too old for such a beautiful woman. Your wife cannot look good if you cannot take care of her. A woman needs a good maintainance for her beauty to show up properly. Listen, I want your wife for myself, I will give you lots of money, anything you ask for!"
The tiger scoffed and grunted,
"Not even in your dreams, monkey! I love my wife and she loves me. I don't care how much you have to offer!"
The monkey went home that night feeling sad and like a failure. His jealousy grew deeper and stronger. He began to craft a plan to take the tiger's wife away from him. He thought to himself,
"I will prepare a delicious soup with memory loss ingredients. I will offer the soup to the tiger. When he eats it, he will lose his memory and forget his wife forever. And then, I will bring her to my home and make her my own wife."
One day, the monkey visited the tiger and offered him a bowl of steaming soup which he had prepared with memory loss ingredients. The tiger was full of gratitude and he said,
"Oh, monkey, I won't forget this. You're so kind to serve such a sumptuous meal to a poor fellow like me. Thank you!"
The following day, the monkey visited the tiger to find out if he had lost his memory. He asked him desperately,
"Is your wife at home?"
The tiger gave him a confused look and answered,
"What wife? I've never been married before, I have no wife. By the way, who are you?"
The monkey jumped happily, knowing that his plan had worked- the tiger had finally lost his memory. He quickly went to the tiger's wife and told her he wanted to marry her.
The tiger's wife smiled and accepted his proposal immediately. She told him,
"I should probably pack my belongings right away and move in with you. But while I do that, why don't you eat the meal that I prepared?"
She went into the kitchen and came out with a bowl of steaming rice and sauce which she offered to the monkey. He began to eat with so much gladness and happiness.
As soon as he finished the food, the tiger suddenly walked in and together with his wife, they burst into a loud laughter, mocking and ridiculing the monkey. Then, the tiger told the surprised monkey,
"You are a big fool! I knew you were up to something, so I didn't eat the soup you brought to me. I told my wife and we got everything planned out. She prepared a sauce with your soup and made you eat it. So now, you will lose your memory and forget everything in your life!"
The monkey was shocked and scared to the core. He panicked, jumped from the balcony, and ran for help, but it was all too late. Shortly, he began to lose his memory. He forgot his home, forgot his family, forgot his name and everything. He climbed up to a tree and lived there forever.
MORAL LESSON:
When you plot evil against someone, be ready to face the consequences.

How to identify Good layers from Bad layers in your farm:
Quality egg production is the primary goal for keeping layers.
It is, therefore, important to monitor production of your flock, identifying poor layers that eat into your profits with minimal or simply no benefits.
During this process, you are likely to notice those birds that do not lay as much as others or those that don’t even lay at all.
Physical indicators to help you identify poor or good layers
Now, before starting to point fingers on the birds, ensure you are not the problem. Ask yourself if you are providing good quality feeds, enough light and clean water. Check also if the birds are stressed or probably there are abrupt changes in their routine.
Also, assess the age of the birds because as your flock gets older, their production drops, with some even stop laying altogether.
Well, there are several physical indicators to help you identify poor or good layers.
For a good layer, the combs and wattles should be full, large, waxy, bright red and warm. A poor layer has small, scaly, pale, and shrivelled comb and wattles. This is also a sign of possible illness.
A good layer should have flexible pubic bones, wide apart to allow three fingers to fit between them while those of a poor layer are tight, quite rigid and narrow, not allowing the fingers. This wide pubic bone space normally facilitates easy passage of eggs.
When you pull back the tail feathers of the bird and inspect the vent, it should be wide, oval, moist and warm for a good layer. The poor laying bird will have the vent dry, small/tight, round and cold.
The eyes of a good layer should be large, bright, prominent and sparkling. A poor layer often has small, sleepy/dull and sunken eyes.
Good layers have clean-cut, strong, refined heads while poor layers have coarse, meaty/thin, blocky, weak looking head.
A good layer has an abdomen that is deep and soft, easily pliable without body fat accumulation by probing fingers while a poor layer has a hard and shallow abdomen. This depth of the abdomen is measured between the breast bone and the pubic bones.
Poor layers have dark-pigmented or dull skins, earlobes and shanks, while good layers are generally bleached or bright, though sometimes it depends on when you check them.
The bleaching is due to the diverting of yellow colour from the body portions to be deposited into the egg yolks. The loss of colour/bleaching effect is easily seen in yellow-skinned chicken on diets with sources of the colouring agents. The effect is less pronounced in white-skinned breeds, thus, more difficult to detect.
By behaviour, a good layer is normally alert to her surroundings and is not lazy. The bird is active and exhibits normal chicken behaviour like scratching litter and running around with others.
Poor layers, on the other hand, look dull and are most of the times droopy.
Delaying culling
Moulting period (when birds lose feathers) requires better understanding of the feathers. It is, thus, advisable to delay culling when a significant portion of the flock is moulting, lest you remove some good laying birds.
During this time, most hens stop producing eggs until moulting is complete. Laying for some chicken may not be affected, but their moulting may be lengthened.
Moulting in good layers starts late and is quite rapid while in poor layers, it starts early and is slow, making the latter appear better groomed.
The grooming does not reflect good laying, in fact, in late moulters, the feathers are replaced at the same time they are lost, enabling them to return to their full production sooner.
Dirty and ragged feathers
The feathers of an active laying hen should be dirty and ragged looking. This is because they use much of their energy on producing eggs and are more prone to playing in the dirt or being followed by roosters. A hen that looks clean and perfect most of the time could be a poor layer.
Be careful when dealing with pullets (young hens), lest their size makes you rule them out as poor layers.
Some good laying hens mature late, therefore, allow the pullets to mature and show characteristics suggesting their laying potential. They may develop into good layers.
Egg lay per hen is best described in a flock. A flock of good layers would have a laying percentage of over 80 per cent, then starts dropping laying after molting to about 50 per cent. On average, in a week, a hen in this flock can give about five eggs.
A poor laying flock’s lay is below 60 per cent, after molting, they hardly go above 10 per cent.
In general, all the indicators will help you do away with the unproductive part of the flock, a practice known as culling.
Ideally, culling should be a continuous exercise throughout the entire production period until the whole flock is productive no more.
Benefits of cullings
While disease is not an important reason to cull the unproductive birds, farmers cull to allow more space for feeding and watering the productive lot. Culling enables you to realise an increased growth rate per bird and overall egg lay per hen ratio. It also ensures that resources are not wasted on unproductive flock.
These indicators may, however, vary between breeds and individual birds.
Therefore, before you finally cull, adopt the most obvious method of telling whether a hen is laying or not by separating suspected unproductive birds from the rest of the flock and monitoring their production for a few days under plenty of feed and water. This may sometimes pose stress to the separated birds, but should put the last nail on them before you are sure to cull.
Most chickens that are culled, commonly known as ex-layers, are sold as meat. The best approach is to put them into a separate housing in a free-range setting so that their retirement doesn’t cost you any more feeds.
Proper planning, however, requires that you know best how you will deal with the eventual decline in egg production of your flock.

The Benefits of Garlic in Poultry Farming:
The benefits of garlic in broilers are actually more than you can possibly imagine – I promise you that
One of the interesting things you will find out in this guide is that broiler chicken farming can be a lot easier if you are equipped with garlic.
I will say this again – there is more to the benefits of garlic than you probably know. Whether you add garlic in chickens drinking water or to their feed, there is a lot of benefits for you and your chickens. As far as my findings go, this is that reason why a lot of farmers are beginning to tap into this knowledge.
The use of garlic in broiler chicken farming might just be saving you from a lot of microbial problems. The combination of garlic and ginger is of great medicinal value here in Ethiopia. But beyond that, the effect of garlic in chickens has been discovered. Garlic will help your chickens stay clear of infectious diseases.
Surprisingly, garlic might have some effect against viruses too. It is important to mention that most of the commercially sold antibiotics are not effective in combating viruses.
Although, not much has been done to conclude that garlic can be used to treat viral diseases, allicin and derivatives are found to be active against viruses. Even if we can’t be sure of exactly how garlic can treat viral diseases, at least we can trust it in prevention.

Huge Penguin Chick Becomes Social Media Star🐧
A huge king penguin chick named Pesto has become a social media celebrity and a star attraction at an Australian aquarium.
Weighing 22 kilograms at 9 months old, Pesto is the heaviest penguin chick the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium has ever had.
He's being looked after by two "foster parents," named Hudson and Tango, who weigh just 11 kilograms each.
As Pesto has grown, so has his global fame — social media users have enjoyed watching videos of the big penguin waddling around at the aquarium.
The aquarium's owners said that billions of people have seen Pesto online through the aquarium's website and social media pages.
Staff said it was "quite unusual" to have such a large penguin chick, but they said Pesto will lose weight as he gets older and starts to swim.
The brown feathers he has now will be replaced by black and white feathers as he grows into a young adult.
Pesto's weight may fall to about 15 kilograms during this time, the aquarium's staff said.
The reason he's so big, they said, is because his biological father — Blake — is the largest and oldest penguin at the aquarium.
His foster parents are younger penguins that staff wanted to try out as parents.
Pesto also eats a lot of fish — between 25 and 32 per day! That's double the amount that an adult king penguin usually eats.
But experts say he's healthy and they're not worried about his size.
King penguins are the second largest species of penguin, after the emperor penguin. They usually live on islands in the Southern Ocean.
🌹I would like to share a beautiful story of positive thinking that I read a couple of days ago.
One day, a professor entered the classroom and announced a surprise test. Hearing this, all students got anxious and started thinking about what would come up in the test. The professor distributed the question paper, with the front side facing down. After handing over the papers to all the students, he asked them to turn the page and start the test. To everyone's surprise, there were no questions in the test paper. There was just a black dot in the center of the page. Everyone was startled and looked at the professor in awe. The professor told the students:
“I want you to write a few lines about what you see on the paper."
All the students were stupefied but since they didn’t have a choice, they started writing the answer.
Once everyone was through with the test, the professor collected all the answer sheets, and started reading out each answer aloud in front of the whole class. Without an exception, all the students had written about the black dot, mentioning about its position, size etc. After reading out all the answers, the professor addressed the students and told them:
“None of you will be graded on this test. I just wanted you to ponder over something. All of you wrote about the black dot. No one wrote about the white part of the paper. The same thing happens in our lives too. We all have a white paper to observe and learn from, yet we always focus on the dark spots. We have so many reasons to celebrate – our parents, co-workers, friends, good health, a satisfactory job, a child’s smile, the miracles we witness every day, and so on.
However, we simply limit our horizons by focusing on just the dark spots – our disappointments, our frustrations, our fears and anxieties, things that bother us, people that wronged us, etc. In our day-to-day lives, we tend to take so many good things for granted, and focus our energy on insignificant dot-like failures and disappointments.”
Though these dark spots are quite small as compared to the good things that we have in our lives, yet they perturb our minds and do not let us think positively.
*Take your eyes away from the black dots of your life. Try and focus on the brighter side of life and let positivity govern your thoughts.*
📖Silence speaks volumes:
That's something beyond a shadow of doubt that human being are special species & needs to be social, Silence is a quality that makes you have something in common with the whole personalities.
If one's never had the ability to enjoy solitude & silence in his or her own life can never speak up for himself when gets in danger or face unfair situations or be social with people.
Additionally, enjoying the journey of silence and examining yourself everyday of what's right and wrong in you gives you one-up-on others and understand people & everything easily. Staying silent helps you give a reason to speak to analyze your situations, to be aware of how you are going to react & how you take action towards maltreatment & injustice at all.
It's worth mentioning that, Working in silence itself builds you up,
Taking the road of silence is the only way of finding what's best in you. And it helps you tackle the obstacles & difficulties of life whenever that croppes up & deal with chaos around you, also it makes you become social & more approachable.
You know who I really appreciate? Those people who aren’t uncomfortable with silence. Those people with whom you can sit at a table and have a delicious meal and not feel uncomfortable when none of you has anything to say. I love people who can communicate with one another not just with words but also with silence.
As you have ever decided to work actively on being silent, It doesn't seem really tough enough, I'll give you the shirt off my back on that decision.
When you build in silence everything gets easier in life infront of you. Silence could be a potential solution to the lifelong question of how one is happy. If you are more extroverted, you might question how can silence help but let me explain. When you are in silence or solitude, you are able to go within yourself and examine yourself. The concept is very easy but not a lot of people do it. Some people are just too busy in their day-to-day lives but the reason why most people don’t do it is that they are afraid of finding the ugliness inside. When you are by yourself and speaking to yourself, you get uncomfortable because you fear what’s inside. If you are resisting silence and solitude, you might have something that needs to be dealt with on the inside. If you can deal with that, you will be happier and you'll realize how to encounter the obstacles as opportunities. If you don’t deal with what’s bothering you internally, it will continue to bother you.
You know, Once upon time, I remember going out for dinner one night with two of my closest friends but also with this other person whom we just recently met. And while we were there, I noticed that this person couldn’t stop talking. I mean, He just couldn’t. He kept going on and on and on and I honestly thought my head was going to explode he was about to talk my ear off because of all the noise he was making. I just couldn’t believe that a human being could actually talk so much and breathe so little.
I was amazed and irritated at the same time. He was talking so much and so loud but his words seemed so empty of meaning who wasn’t really saying anything.
Well, that’s exactly how I felt. I could hear him speak but I couldn’t really understand a word he was saying. Not because he was speaking a foreign language but because he wasn’t really saying anything.
We do that. A lot of times we just talk and talk but without actually saying anything. Maybe it’s because we want to feel that we’re heard and that people acknowledge our presence and existence. But is that really the way to go about it? Wouldn’t it be wiser to talk less and say more while at the same time immersing ourselves in those moments of silence and allowing them to just be?
It seems to me that a lot of times we talk just so we won’t keep quiet, thinking that silence is something to be ashamed about, something to be avoided. But it’s not. There’s nothing wrong with silence. I don’t know how we got this idea that silence is awkward and that it should be avoided at all costs.
Children's Eyesight Getting Worse, Say Experts
More than one in three children and teenagers around the world are shortsighted, according to a new study — and screen time may be to blame.
Researchers from China said young people's eyesight is getting worse, and shortsightedness — also called myopia — could affect more than 740 million children and teenagers by 2050.
Rates are higher in some countries, especially those in Asia. According to the study, 85% of children in Japan and 73% in South Korea may already be shortsighted.
The researchers got their data by looking at 276 studies from 1990 to 2023 involving more than 5 million children and teenagers from 50 countries around the world.
Between 1990 and 2000, they estimated that 24% of children and teenagers were shortsighted. This increased a little to 25% between 2001 and 2010, and then rose to 30% between 2011 and 2019.
Between 2020 and 2023 — a period that included the coronavirus pandemic — 36% of young people were estimated to be shortsighted.
The researchers said the pandemic may have had an effect on myopia, since young people spent more time inside, often using screens.
Based on the data, they predicted that about 40% of young people could be shortsighted by 2050.
The study said myopia may be more likely to affect girls aged between 13 and 19.
Although the research team said they believe their predictions are quite accurate, the number of young people whose data was used varied quite a lot from country to country.
In Japan, data from about 1,200 young people was included, while in China that number was almost 2 million.
However, Japanese schools have acknowledged that shortsightedness is common among students.
Perseverance can lead to success!
Let me shed light on a girl named Faith, who never capitulated in achieving her dreams.
Faith is a determined girl. When she wanted to extend her skills in writing, she faced challenges that could have made her feel solitary in her efforts, and she found herself in dire straits.
However, she chose to conform to the necessary standards and sought forthcoming opportunities to learn.
Even when her initial plans seemed bankrupt of good ideas, she refused to let anything expel her from her path, believing that all’s well that ends well.
Her determination for the continuous extension of her abilities is a testament to her unwavering perseverance, which has elevated her status in the society.
Did you know that living in a city is actually pretty bad for your happiness?
Did you know that living in a city is actually pretty bad for your happiness? Studies show that you’re more likely to be happy the smaller the city that you live in. But with 5 billion people living in cities by 2030, is there a way we can change the unhappiness found in cities? Actually, there is: urban design.
Urban design isn’t just about the best place to build a road or a new sewer. In fact, if it’s done correctly, urban design can make an entire city happier and healthier. And it doesn’t need everyone to be a millionaire at their dream job. In fact, building a happy city is a lot less pie-in-the-sky dreaming and a lot more sustainable, healthy transportation.
In 1998, Enrique Peñalosa was elected mayor of Bogotá, the capital of Colombia and the bustling home of some 6.7 million people. But when Peñalosa was elected, Bogotá was facing huge challenges as a community. It had too many cars, so commuting times were enormous and pollution was terrible, and kidnapping and murder were far too common. So Peñalosa decided to redesign the very fabric of the city. He made it extremely difficult to drive by only letting people commute via car three times a week and banning cars completely for no car days. To make up the difference, he hugely expanded the cycle infrastructure and built the city’s first public transit system.
All of a sudden, streets that had only heard the rumble of car engines were alive with the noise of kids playing and cyclists chatting. Commuting time was halved, and the murder rate fell (even as the country got more violent).
Peñalosa built a city where the bike was the vehicle of choice. But did this actually make people happier? In short, yes. The longer someone’s car commute, the less happy they are. Long-distance car commuters are 40 percent more likely to get divorced. Drivers during peak rush hour experience higher stress levels than fighter pilots who are over enemy territory. On the other hand, commuters who get to work under their own steam exhibit far less stress and have a generally more positive psychological well-being.
Urban designers have a chance to change the fabric of a city. And if we let them, they can design a city that benefits everyone’s health, their psychological well-being, and their safety.
Turns out you can design happiness.
