When do we use 을 / 를?

1. 나는 너를 사랑해 I love you 2. 나는 동물을 사랑해 I love animals 3. 나는 강아지를 좋아해 I like puppies 4. 나는 말을 좋아해 I like horses Do you see the difference?

When do we use 을 / 를?

1. 나는 너(를) 사랑해 2. 나는 동물(을) 사랑해 3. 나는 강아지(를) 좋아해 4. 나는 말(을) 좋아해 Rule 1 We use 을 / 를 after the Object of a sentence Rule 2 We use "를" if the last syllable doesn't have a 받침 We use "을" if the last syllable has a 받침 *받침 = If a syllable ends with a consonant, we call that consonant "받침" Example) 밤: ㅁ is the 받침 달: ㄹ is the 받침 나 : Doesn't have a 받침 because it ends withㅏ

What is the difference between 은 / 는 and 이 / 가?

1. Where to focus more 은 / 는 is used when you focus on the "action" 이 / 가 is used when you focus on "who" So, it depends on where you want to focus more Example) 나는 창문을 깼다 I "broke" the window 내가 창문을 깼다 "I" broke the window Example 2) 고양이 "어디" 있어? "Where" is the cat? 고양이는 내 방에 있어 The cat is in my room 너 방에 "뭐" 있어? "What" is in your room? 고양이가 내 방에 있어 A cat is in my room

What is the difference between 은 / 는 and 이 / 가?

Did you mention the subject before? 이 / 가: when you talk about something for the first time 은 / 는: when you have mentioned it before Example) 존이 학생들을 불렀습니다 John called the students 그는(존은) 학생들에게 재밌는 얘기를 했습니다 He(John) told the students a funny story Example2) BTS가 콘서트를 위해서 한국을 떠났어요 BTS left Korea for the concert 그들은(BTS는) 비행기를 탔습니다 They got on the plane

What is the difference between 은 / 는 and 이 / 가?

3. Comparison 은 / 는 is used when you compare things Ex) 나는 소고기는 좋아하는데 돼지고기는 싫어 I like beef but don't like pork 이 / 가 is used when your preference changed Ex) 나는 원래 소고기가 좋았는데 이제는 돼지고기가 좋아 I used to like beef, but now I like pork
