1. Eels: Eels are long and slimy fish that live in rivers and oceans around the world. They have a snake-like appearance and are typically brown or green in color. Eels can grow to be very large, with some species reaching over 10 feet in length! Eels are nocturnal, which means they are most active at night. They like to hide in rocks, logs, and other underwater structures during the day, and then come out at night to hunt for food. Eels eat a variety of things, including fish, shrimp, and even other eels! One interesting thing about eels is that they have a unique life cycle. They start their lives as tiny, transparent larvae that float around in the ocean. As they grow, they develop a darker color and begin to migrate toward freshwater rivers and streams. Once they reach their destination, they mature into adult eels and begin their lives in freshwater.
