An ADJECTIVE is a describing word. It is a word you use to give a picture of what something looks like, or to describe an action.

An adjective makes a story come alive because you allow the reader or the person you are speaking with to have a picture of what you are talking about

Adjectives can be numbers, colors, words that describe size, words that describe personality, words that describe appearance (what something looks like), words that describe taste etc.
