Poor sentence structure can befuddle or weary the audience, making the task of reading more unpleasant than informative. The English language is among the most voluminous of all languages, and this means that you’ll never run out of vocabulary words to learn and use. All forms of the written word—from fiction to journalism to essay writing to poetry—benefit from a strong vocabulary. To that end, the time you spend improving your vocabulary skills is actually time invested in your writing skills.

I went to the park today. I took my dog with me. My dog likes to play with his ball at the the park. We usually play together for two hours. on the way home we stop and get a treat at the ice-cream stand. Everyday I take my dog Rex to the park down the street from my house. He is a rambunctious dog, and loves to endlessly chase and retrieve his ball. After a couple hours we head back home, but we always make a stop at frosty freeze for a special doggy ice-cream cone. Rex and I always enjoy our trips to the park.
