Hola, mucho gusto! My name is Irene, I’m from Colombia and I want to share my culture and Spanish language with you. This is not a spanish lesson but a relaxed space for anyone interested in spanish
and the latin culture.
I’d like to sit with you and share cultural notes about Colombia and latin america in general, from food, to music, to dating and traveling spots. In every meetup I’ll share a different cultural note. We can freely ask
questions and share our experiences about any subject related to latin culture and spanish language.
I would like to keep the meetup light and fun for everybody. We can even learn spanish through latin
music and maybe I even show you some basic latin dance moves!
This will be an opportunity to get closer to the ‘sabor latino’ while in Korea. If you are worried about your level of spanish, please don’t be! Latin culture is all about making everybody feel welcomed, so If you are
a beginner in Spanish but you are interested in latin culture and getting basic Spanish phrases then please
come and join us! Also, if you already have some Spanish and would like to practice it, this is also the place
for you as I can practice it with you. People from all backgrounds who speak spanish or are just interested
in latin culture are more than welcome! I hope we can all get to know each other and have a good time.
Depending on the number of people and their spanish level we can have the meeting in Spanish only or Spanish-English or Spanish- Korean.
I’m Irene and I’ve been in Korea for only 5 months. I love traveling, cooking and eating delicious food (I’m a foodie girl). I understand the struggle of learning a new language while having little contact with locals as I
went through that too. That's why I want to share this space, in which you can feel a little closer to Latin
America. Also, I want to show people more of Colombia than what's on Netflix or on the news. Some people
say Colombia is one of the happiest places on earth and if it’s true I want to share a little bit of that with all of
you. Los estaré esperando!
