- Introduction to Latin American cultures and spanish language
Hola! This is a meetup where you can know spanish native speakers and talk about spanish and latin cultures in a relaxed environment. It’s not a lesson, but you can practice Spanish if with me!
This is intended to be for people who either speak Spanish, are learning spanish, or just are interested in Spanish speaking countries. It's not a spanish lesson! The idea is to share knowledge and experiences related to Spanish. Each meetup will focus on different topics based on your interests!
Some meetups can be more language learning oriented (as the host and native spanish speaker, I would have the role of guiding the conversation). Other meetups would be about one particular country it’s culture. Sometimes we’ll just share spanish drinks with good conversation!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
I am surprised to see how many people in Korea are interested in learning Spanish because they like Latin Culture. Myself, I was interested in Korean culture and language, and I wish I could have found a place in my own country to learn and share with natives.
This meetup is created to be the perfect place to share, ask, listen, and learn in a relaxed environment. It’s not meant to be strict like a grammar class. In this meetup, you will have the experience that will upgrade your skills and give you motivation! You'll have the chance to talk, practice, or just listen, as much as you want. People from Spain and Latin countries are welcome, for creating a diverse group, as well as Koreans and any other nationality. If you feel comfortable with it, we can carry the meetup in Spanish, or eng/spa depending on the attendees level.
ABOUT THE HOST!
In a country so far away such as mine, I've had the chance to meet many other latin and, or Korean friends who are interested in Spain or that already speak Spanish. That gives me the feeling that there is a lack of a space to get together because spanish popularity is just beginning to grow. I am willing to share what I know about my country and my continent Latin America, as well as my experience travelling in Spain. I love getting to know people, Koreans or anyone interested in Spanish because we connect so well! I had also participated in Spanish lessons as a volunteer in Korea. I was a teacher back in Chile, because I'm very passionate about languages. Nos vemos pronto!
